FIVE FOR FRIDAY!! :) Such a good week!

Happy Friday, friends! Friday is absolutely my most favorite day of the week 🙂 Today, we even get to wear PJs to school for our school wide Cuddle Up and Read day! YAY for Friday….ANNND it’s time to link up for FIVE FOR FRIDAY with Doodle Bugs Teaching!

It was kind of a crazy week! I’ve gotta start with the cuteness that is my March Bulletin board!!!
I used the Hooptime Kids craftivity by Teaching in the Tongass to go with our “March Mathness” theme!
We then used one inch grid paper to make our jersey numbers.  Each student then labeled their jersey with “What’s my number?” and found the area and perimeter of the number, too!
So fun, and so super cute!!

 

So are your kids in full swing with close reading, yet??!!

Well, mine definitely are, and one of the resources that I’ve created for them to use as they “jot their thoughts” during their first read through a text are my close reading book marks!

I love the concept of them being actively engaged while they read.  They get to “read with their pencils”! These bookmarks offer them simple symbols to use when “jotting their thoughts” as they read!

Then, later in the week, my sweet friend Sarah at A Rocky Top Teacher shared this  photo with me!

Well, I think…I THINK I solved my “holy crap what do these scribbled notes even mean?!” product idea brainstorm problems – or the “oh, has it really been since last month since I blogged?!” realization – or the “oh, email the winner?? What did I donate?!” giveaway debacle. . . .

Are you starting Spring Break today?!?!?
I’m not.
I don’t start spring break until March 31, however, the gears in my head have been turning and churning with ideas and plans to tackle and get done over break!     I'm so excited to be on Spring Break . . . NOW!! I'm sorry that you don't have Spring Break until the end of the month, but I'm sure I'll be wishing I had spring break again then! I can't wait to use your Spring Break check list though! I have so much I want to get done, and maybe your amazing to do list will help me do it all!! Happy Friday!!
