Five for Friday! with a {FrEEbiE!}

January 31, 2014 By Ashley Schroeder

Hi friends! It’s Friday!!! which means I’m linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

Here are 5 quick randoms from my week! 🙂 It was pretty full considering it was only 3 days with my kids!
I’m sure you are tired of seeing screen shots of The Weather Channel . . . hahaha but here’s another one! We were among lots of others and had 2 days off of school this week due to the extremely and dangerously cold temperatures.  The wind was INSANE!! Here’s some of the worst of it that I happened to capture!
And today it was into the 30s! PTL!!! I didn’t need my scarf annnnd OUTDOOR RECESS!!!
#enoughsaid
whisper voice: i hear snow is about to slam us next week.  crap. #whereisspring

Earlier this week, I linked up with Coast to Coast Kinder for a super fun, idea filled (LOVE), linky called WOW Wednesday!!

I blogged all about our newest bulletin board and how our kids ROCKED our opinion writing last week!

You can read all about my blog post HERE and then check out the WOW Wednesday Linky, too!

Click above to head to Coast to Coast Kinder to read more about the WOW Wednesday linky so you will be ready to link up next time!

Valentine’s Day is one of my FAVORITE holidays with my kiddos, and I’m kind of pumped about our new Valentine’s word work activities this year!
As a new TPT Seller it’s kind of  . . . ok REALLY fun to see my own creations in action in my own classroom and even MORE fun to see them in action in other teachers’ rooms! Check out my Valentine’s Word Work HERE or click the image below!

I also used some new and adorable clip art from the most talented Nikki from Melonheadz Illustrations to whip up a class list form that’s EDITABLE! They turned out SO so cute!!
Check it out in my store! 🙂

Ummmm is anyone else out there PUMPEDDDD to teach their kiddles about the Olympics??!?!? I can hardly wait to start our study!  To prep for it, I wanted my kids to be organized, so I knew right away I wanted them to have a folder to collect everything about which we will be learning! If you’re doing a winter games unit, too, and would like a {FREEBIE} cover page for your kids’ folders, check out my latest freebie on TPT! You can click HERE or the image below to snag a few different versions (different colors and ink friendliness!).
Oh, and there’s NO way that our unit of study could be possible without the 2 FABULOUSSSS packs that I purchased on TPT! I snagged a fabulous chapter book with comprehension questions activity pack by Creekside Teacher Tales  . . . seriously…SO awesome.  You should SEEEE these response sheets.  This pack has it ALL!!  Annnnnd I’m excited to use the winter games close reading pack by 24-7 Teacher in my small groups! Click each bloggers name to head to those products to check them out for yourself!! You WON’T be disappointed!!

And LASTLY!! I’m SO excited to show you the make over I gave to one of my best selling packs!

I use these checklists every.  single.  day.  I’m pretty sure that nothing would get done without them by my side! EVERY time I post a pic of me surrounded with my plans and check lists, I get SO many comments on my weekly planning list and, eventually, my list ended up being the first thing I officially shared via my blog months ago! With that being said . . . it needed a make over . . . BADLY!! So, this week, it’s shiny and new and still editable to be made your own! It’s SUCH an effective tool for me when I sit down to do my weekly to-dos! I hope you find it as useful as I do!! 🙂 Click the image above to check it out more closely!

Ok . . .off to tackle crazy week end to do lists.  What were your 5 randoms of the week?!? Link up with
Doodle Bugs Teaching and share!! Happy weekend!

I am so glad you got to have outdoor recess! My poor kiddos haven't been outside the whole month. Not to mention that we have been out of school half of the month…..PLEASE no more snow!!
