So this past week has been 50 shades of awesome.  If you know me at all, you know that I’m a Facebook loving, blog stalking, and idea pinning queen.  However – this last week, Instagram has sucked me right in (and kept me up way past my bedtime – but #it’sfine).  After I decided to make a “Teacher-Gram” just as way to keep all my school related posts in one place . . . .,

(or for any of my non-teacher friends who want to see more of my classroom than you are on FB)

. . . I realized that there seemed to be a pretty awesome network of teachers connecting on Instagram.  Well – “pretty awesome” may just be the understatement of the year.

The short of it is:
1. Instagram has invited tonsss of my favorite teachers in bloggy-land into MY classroom and me into theirs ! ! …
2.  Hashtags are AWESOME.  period.
3.  I now have a network of flippin’ fantastic teachers literally in the palm of my hand.  From Mod Podging tips to choosing a background to go with my crazily patterned borders  – I have 10 – 20 – 80?! opinions in SECONDS!
4.  I’ve never been more inspired about my what I do for a living – and that’s saying a lot coming from the girl who starts her back to school to-do lists WELL before the end of the previous school year.  Teachers inspire teachers every single day, but this year, thanks to the fabulous teacher network on Instagram, my classroom has been FILLED with new ideas, suggestions, comments, encouragement, ENDLESS inspiration and love from teachers across the WORLD!! Teachers from Russia and Spain have been a part of my BTS prep this week!  . . . so.  stinkin. awesome..
My point? If you’re a teacher and have an Instagram account – you need to connect with this blissfully fantastic network of AWESOME teachers!  If you’re a teacher, and you DON’T have an Instagram account – you need to get one.  Then . . .you do this:
Then, do yourselves a favor and search the hashtag #teachersfollowteachers on Instagram, grab your to do list and a latte, and enjoy all of the fabulous classrooms and ideas and bulletin boards and tips that are about to flood your palm.  You won’t be sorry.  I promise. 🙂
