Blissfully Spring :) :)

April 5, 2013 By Ashley Schroeder

Omiword.  Can I just say – Was yesterday absolutely BEAUTIFUL or what?!? Fortunately, I am still on Spring Break, and I was able to enjoy that glorious sunshine during my morning coffee, as I finished up a crazily awesome puzzle (more on that new obsession later haha), while I buzzed around town to shop a bit – which is a task about which I typically have anxiety, but the sunshine made it so much easier!! – , and while I headed to have my ass kicked at Zumba while wearing shorts!! Sigh. Smile.  I LOVE signs of spring! I know, I know, it’s April, and it should have been here a while ago… but days filled with warm sunshine like yesterday ALWAYS make Spring well worth the wait in my book!

Grabbed this awesome, larger than it looks, serving platter along with a few other home goods out of the Target Clearance shelves yesterday!! I LOVE their new home sections/brands! 🙂 (like anyone really needs another reason/excuse to go to Target?!)

I’ve definitely done my share of task tackling over the last few fabulous days off, but I’ve also had some time to relax! My Papa would be SO proud to know that I’ve found the love for puzzles! Check out this junk drawer puzzle I finished yesterday . . .

THANK YOU MELISSA for letting me borrow this fantastically addicting puzzle! I’m kind of obsessed with this particular one (what? me? obsessed with something?!?) soooo I sure did buy three more last night!! 🙂 #amazongiftcard #nodiscreshfundneeded

Also during my break, I got to head home for Easter with the fam <3 and got to see a few of my best friends which ALWAYS fills up my morale cup.  I love my husband more dearly than dearly, but there’s just something to be said about quality time with friends and family that gives you exactly what you (or didn’t know that you) needed.  Between brunch and coffee and Easter dinner and WEDDING PLANS!!, it was a fantastic few days at home!

I even got to spend a few days (2 is a few in my book, when our typical visits can be measured in hours:() with my seeeester!  Jenna, as most of you may know, is very different from me in so many fantastic ways.  One way that we differ is in our shopping habits.  She buys clothes and I prefer to spend money organizing my life, at the gym, and on the “future of America”. (Richardella, Jenna. MOH Speech. Altoona, PA. June 25, 2011)  With that being said, she likes to clean out her closet and pass along unwanted things to ME!  This girl takes care of her clothes way better than I take care of my to-do lists, so her clothes are always like NEW!! Point being – I got more than a few new outfits this weekend, and it’s a good thing I had an empty drawer because “plaids and flannels” sure do get a category/drawer of their own now! haha THANK YOU HERMANNNAAA 🙂 #newwardrobe

newest category of clothes in my closet 🙂

Speaking of my bride-to-be of a seester <3 She made me cry yesterday with her plans for her “something borrowed”.  I cannot wait to stand beside her on her big day!! HOLY CRAP, which is 6 MONTHS FROM TODAY!!! 🙂 🙂 WOOHOO!

One last spring induced smile that I’ve had lately is the fact that the sun is still awake when I get home now!!! Check out this pretty little sunset from my driveway from the other day <3 LOVE!

Happy Spring – Happy Friday!! – and Enjoy the sunshine as much I plan to!! 🙂
