Springs and Smiles :)

January 26, 2013 By Ashley Schroeder

So, this past weekend, Ryan and I went on a double date weekend to Bedford Springs.  I’m positive that being somewhere that beautiful couldn’t possibly have a negative effect on ANYONE – even the most negative Nancies in my life –  in any way, shape, or form.  It is just stunning.  And QUIET!!! Love love love the Springs.   Don’t even get me started on the food.  We basically ate – and I mean ATE – for about 20 hours straight.  De.  Lish.  If you ever have the chance to go to Bedford Springs, I highly recommend it. 🙂
puzzle building at 1 am.  #itsfine. we also may or may not be working on a CRAZY hard puzzle now at home.  I secretly love it.
love.
who knew i’d like elderberry.  everything taste better at the Springs.
On a Rockband rating scale, this thing was expert plus.  we killed it, though.

On the school front, Hinckley Elementary has a celebratory, health and wellness, fun and fitness, BEACH themed day each year, and that happened to be yesterday during the whiteout conditions in Northeastern Ohio! It turned out to be a lot of fun! The kids (and teachers, obviously) could dress up in any beachwear that they wanted except for bathing suits, and they did just that! In 1st grade, there was even a kid dressed as a shark! So creative!! I’m blessed with a school full of GREAT families at Hinckley! Here are a few highlights from the day, and of course, me with my adorable beach bums 🙂

I had all intentions of changing into a floral, beachy sundress and flip flops – I packed it all! But I’m constantly cold – I’m talking this blue OBX hoodie that I DID wear yesterday got more visible wear at the beach than my shorts and tanks this year – soooo I rocked the lei and the sunglassess and my beach hoodie and a curly side pony(who likes a pony tail shaped tanline on his/her back?! not this girl!). Such a fun day with my kiddos.  I really do love them all.  They are such a great group!!

After a busy weekend last weekend, I’m glad to be staying home this weekend – between the laundry and the Keurig and the Scentsy, this Saturday morning at home smells ridiculously outstanding right now!  –  Ryan and I both agree that Friday nights at home with some take out and sweats are definitely our kind of Friday – and our weekend started just like that 🙂  Tonight, though, we’re headed out on the town a bit.  His company’s annual after Christmas Christmas Party is tonight at the House of Blues . . . I secretly wish I could wear a hoodie. 😉 Regardless – he works with some INCREDIBLY fabulous people, so I’m looking forward to hanging out with them tonight! We don’t have a great picture of us from previous years, so I’ll try to make it a priority to get one tonight!

One last smile to leave you with . . .my sister’s save the date came this week.  I lost it.  I’m going to be a disassssster on Oct. 5th.  CRAP! Oh, little sister of mine…it’s ridiculous how much I love you<3 FaceTime soon pleaseeeeee:)

Hope you all enjoy your weekends! I’m about to kick start the rest of mine with Zumba!
