Well. It’s that time of year again. Penn State Ohio State week. The last few months, I’ve dug up some pretty helpful bible verses to guide me through another rough transition in my life, but possibly my favorite of all, which hangs, creatively framed by my best friend, MegO, in our closet – our closet that has his and her sections for Saturdays AND Sundays – is Matthew 5:44.

Love those enemies. Ya have to 🙂 And man oh man, this week – I may have to get it tattooed. Legally, of course. I would pay for it myself. 😉 5:44 5:44 5:44. I digress 🙂
ANYWAY! As I was hunting for a new Penn State/Ohio State pic of Ryan and me to set as my new profile picture for my favorite game of every year, I thought to myself – hmm wouldn’t it be fun to dedicate a blog entry to the 8 years of Penn State Ohio State rivalry that Ryan and I have shared. So, here it is! To put it mildly, I’ve changed my looks a bit over the last 9 football seasons. However, it was pretty fun to dig up old pics of the two of us clashing in our blue vs. red attire season after season. 🙂 I wouldn’t have it any other way. . . .
2004 – We didn’t make it to the rivalry game together, but we did make it to Happy Valley together . . . look at my blonde hair! In case you’re wondering, my husband hasn’t changed one bit since we’ve met, I swear. I, on the other hand, ate more pizza some years than others . . .

2005- Oh my. This one I remember well. It was a night game. Ryan sat in the student section of Happy Valley. It was the LOUDEST game I’ve ever been to in my life. And we won. It. Was. A. MAZING. 5:44.

2010 – We tailgated with Stevie! It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day and Matt McGloin played exactly 1 half of football during which I cheered loudly and proudly in a sea of red. ick. 5:44.

2011 – What an emotional roller coaster of a season. This year is no exception.. Here we are… tailgating at the Nebraska game. Heartbroken, but still Penn State proud <3 FTG

So there you have it. Loving and living with my enemy since 2004. We’ve survived 🙂 It’s a good thing, too, because there’s another huge rivalry game right around the corner in 6 days!! Forecast is currently calling for 68 and sunny in Happy Valley for the 5:30 kick-off! YES PLEASE <3
Off to watch Dex do the opposite of 5:44, but it’s all good… It’s a crazy week ahead, too, but I can now go and check “blog” off of my mile long list 🙂 G’night friends <3 Happy white out week!
